As mentioned in an earlier post, having a photographer who gets right into the middle of things on the dance floor is essential. You do not want your wedding photographers who just walk around the perimeter taking photos. In order to "feel" the electricity in the air at your wedding, I situate myself among your guests and photograph (and dance) along side of them. I love dancing at weddings! I get to practice some new dance floor moves I learned :) It's also really important to have a photographer with off camera lighting and one who can control it so that your imagery showcases the vibe you had. If their flashes brighten the image so much that it looks like daylight, it's hard to imagine the mood lighting that you actually had there. When I photograph a reception, I have a number of off camera flashes at my disposal throughout the reception area that will be able to light up the areas I wish and still showcase any lighting (such as candles or DJ lights) so that you still get the feeling of the mood at your reception. This is key when looking at photographers for your PEI wedding regardless of what venue you are deciding on.
