The bride and groom had their hearts set on a beach ceremony and a BBQ reception for a few close friends and relatives. It was intimate and perfect. We had about 30 minutes for wedding party images and bride and groom portraits. When I photograph a couple on the beach, I love trying to incorporate the surrounding landscape and in this case, that included the green moss and seaweed covered rocks near the shore. It helps frame the bride and groom as they cuddled up to one another. When I photograph a couple on their wedding day, I always give direction so that I can capture those moments as they natural unfold in front of my camera. This direction could be as simple as practice your first dance, embrace each other as if you have not seen each other in a long time, or simply walk towards me and go in for a kiss every 10 steps. This ensures that your image appears to be a candid, even though specific direction was given to you in order to achieve that particular look. It's the beauty of a pose with the look of photojournalism for your wedding portraits. In all cases, lighting is the cornerstone of all my portraits on your wedding day.
