When photographing weddings, I love telling a story with your images. I feel the story behind the couple is equally important. In this case, the couple had some of their images taken at her grandfather's home and in particular, in his prized flower garden. Layering the foreground with the background and framing the couple in between the flowers, really helps telling the story of where the couple had their pictures taken. I always encourage couples to choose locations for their images in places that mean something to them and bring back great memories. Additionally, try and schedule enough time to go to at least two locations for your pictures. But if that is not possible after your ceremony, consider having a first look with your partner. It's very intimate and does not have to be something in front of everyone. Just your photographer. Regardless of what you choose, make sure you are comfortable with your photographer and you have a game plan in mind for pictures, as well as back up plans if something does not work out such as bad weather. I always suggest creating your itinerary with your photographer because they have the most realistic idea of how long things take such as portraits, wedding party imagery and family pictures.
